We’re heading to ALA!
By · CommentsI’m new to RainMaker and to the legal industry as well, so this will be my first trip to the ALA Conference next week. I’m looking forward to attending and meeting lots of new folks, and I’m also excited to see how our booth design will be received by attendees. When I was hired as the Marketing Manager, I quickly learned that RainMaker is not only known for having fantastic financial & practice management software (my little company plug right there) but they are also known for having “unique” booth themes and designs…not something you would typically find at a legal conference. I have to say, I was surprised. Here, I thought that perhaps the legal industry might be somewhat stuffy and boring, but I’m quickly discovering that our clients and ALA members are anything but. The industry is quite different than I had expected, which is a good thing.
So there I was – faced with my first big challenge – to come up with a booth design that people will remember and enjoy, and, of course, attract them to our booth. With a little brainstorming, I think we came up with a great theme. I have to admit, the planning was a little more time-consuming than I had initially anticipated, but I think the payoff will come at the event when people get a look at what we’ve done. It is fun and different and a little off the beaten path, but memorable. You really cannot call us boring and I promise you will walk away with a smile.
So you’re wondering what the theme is, right? All I can say is, look for the giraffe (clue one). Please stop by our booth #714-716 and say “hello.” We’ll be one of the many exhibitors giving away an iPad2 (hey, people love them), but we are also giving away lots of other great prizes and something not many people giveaway – cold, hard cash! We are also planning to have fun, make a little noise and monkey around a bit (clue two). If you are looking to update your financial and practice management software, we will have on-site demos as well – just a little something to give you a preview of what our company can offer your firm. And if you mention that you read my blog, it may get you one step closer to winning a prize.
Safe travels for all heading to Florida.
RainMaker Software lends support to Manna on Main Street
By · CommentsThe employees in our Blue Bell office got the chance to play Easter Bunny last Friday as they put together baskets for a local organization called Manna on Main Street.
The idea was spearheaded by our company’s CUDOS committee, which is a small group of employees that plan employee morale-boosting activities and events. Toys, baskets and candy were donated by all employees and 20 baskets were assembled for delivery to Manna on Main the following day. Manna on Main, a non-profit organization located in Lansdale, PA, offers a soup kitchen, food pantry and emergency funding to those in need in the local community. The baskets will be distributed to families with small children who would otherwise not get visited by the Easter Bunny come Sunday morning. Our employees were treated to a lunch time pizza party for their contributions, however, their real reward was knowing that they would put a smile on the face of a deserving child.
If you’d like to donate to Manna on Main, visit their website to find out how you can help. http://www.mannaonmain.org/
